Graham’s Crusted Port is a blend of excellent young ports from two or three harvests. It is packed with aromas of red and black fruits such as cherries and blackberries combined to lifted floral hints and on the palate it is full-bodied, with excellent ripe fruit flavours balance by a fresh acidity and velvety tannins leading to a long and lingering finish.

Graham’s Crusted Port is made from a selection of very fine young Ports from two or three harvests sourced from Graham’s own Quintas. The wines from these different vineyards and harvests are blended together and matured in oak casks for up to two years prior to being bottled without any fining or filtration. Once bottled, the wine is matured for a minimum of a further three years in the Graham’s cellars.
By the time Graham’s Crusted Port is released it has gained the superb elegance and style that a great Port gains from time in bottle. The date featured on the label is the date of bottling, not the harvest date. Graham’s is one of the few Port companies that still make these very fine Ports.
Graham’s Crusted Port possesses many of the characteristics of Declared or Single Quinta Vintage Ports and can benefit from being bottle-aged for a further five years or more. Crusted needs to be decanted before serving and should be served cool, between 12 and 16º Celsius.

Established in 1820, W & J Graham is one of the most famous names in the Port trade and has long been synonymous with the greatest Vintage Ports. The Symington family acquired the company from the Graham family in 1970, so today Graham’’s remains a wholly family-owned firm. At the heart of Graham’’s Port is the famous Quinta dos Malvedos in the upper reaches of the Douro Valley. The old winery was completely renovated in 2000 and is now equipped with three revolutionary robotic lagares that ‘tread’ the grapes. Alongside these are the ancient granite lagares where some of the harvest is still trodden by human foot. The neighbouring Quinta do Tua and Quinta das Lages in the Rio Torto valley are key vineyards for Graham’’s, as are the privately family-owned Quintas of Vila Velha and Vale de Malhadas.

It pairs wonderfully with chocolate desserts, blue or hard cheeses (like Roquefort and mature Cheddar) or even with fruit desserts like cheesecake or cherry pie.
