Montes Limited Selection Sauvignon Blanc Leyda Valley Chile is a crisp and fruity wine. The aroma and taste shows pure and intense Sauvignon Blanc character, showing the potential of its cold-zone origin in coastal Leyda Valley.
Montes Limited Selection Sauvignon Blanc Leyda Valley has typical aromatics of the Leyda Valley with a blend of fresh pineapple, white peach and passion fruit along with floral and citrusy notes, and a hint of asparagus in the background. The palate is fresh and crisp with an impressive attack. This is a light Sauvignon Blanc with a long, enjoyable finish.
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from selected vineyards in the Leyda Valley, only 7km from the coast and the resultant wines are highly aromatic with racy acidity, minerality and touch of savouriness. All of these characteristics are superb for Sauvignon Blanc. All of the grapes were hand harvested and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for two weeks. The wine was kept in contact with its lees to add roundness on the palate.
Montes was established in 1988 by Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, with the aim to produce the best wines in Chile from the best regions. We have long admired Montes and what they have done for Chilean wine over the past 25 years. The Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon, first produced in 1987, broke the mould for premium wines in Chile. Since then, Alpha has gone from being a wine to being the core range in the Montes portfolio. The grapes and sites are carefully selected in order to ensure varietal integrity and complexity. Viticulture is hands on and individual rather than mechanical and industrial. The result is a range of wines that offer superb value within the premium wine market – whether from Chile or anywhere else.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and not normally on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays though Saturday deliveries are possible on payment of an additional charge.

Delivery Charges
Delivery in St Albans is FREE for orders over £85, for orders less than £85 the charge is £5.
Postal delivery of tasting tickets and vouchers is also FREE if this option is chosen.
Our standard national delivery charge is £10 and is FREE for all orders over £250. The standard delivery is next day for all orders placed by 12noon and the following day for all orders received later than that.
Arrangements in case you’re out at the time of delivery
Please leave clear instructions in the special instructions section on the checkout page so the wine can be left in a safe place to suit you. As our delivery service requires a signature then if your wine is not signed for it is left at your risk and losses are not replaceable. If instructions are not left a card will be put through your door asking you to contact the carrier to arrange re-delivery or collection within 2 days.
