DeMorgenzon Chenin Blanc from Stellenbosch in South Africa has green apple, yellow stone fruit, hints of honey and floral aromas characterize a fresh and upfront nose. The palate is rich and unctuous with a lingering aftertaste.
DeMorgenzon Chenin Blanc from Stellenbosch in South Africa has effusive aromas of white flower, stone fruit, honey and toast which erupt into opulent flavours of pear, orange blossom, caramel and spice. It’s a world class offering that strikes a brilliant balance between lush fruit and crisp, mouth-watering acidity.
The fruit for this wine is grown on old bush vine vineyards grown on weathered granite are selected in cool areas of Stellenbosch with a good exposure to cooling sea breezes. The juice is naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel tank and old French oak barrels. The final blend is made up after 6 months of ageing on the lees then lightly filtered and stabilized for bottling.
DeMorgenzon is a rapidly rising star of Stellenbosch, the Estate positively bubbling with excitement, energy and ambition. Attention to detail and perfectionist standards have elevated DeMorgenzons reputation since Hylton and Wendy Applebaums acquisition of the estate in 2003.
Famous for their Maestro blends and Reserve Chenin Blanc; since 2008 Baroque music has been piped into the vineyards all day, every day. The effects of sound and music on plant growth is an intriguing subject, the energy of the sound waves rather than the sounds themselves serving to stimulate and nurture the growing vines. A number of experiments have taken place to assess these claims and the effects and point towards an increase in vigour, root growth and general vine health. Music is also streamed throughout DeMorgenzons cellars, surrounding the wines in rich sound waves.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and not normally on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays though Saturday deliveries are possible on payment of an additional charge.

Delivery Charges
Delivery in St Albans is FREE for orders over £85, for orders less than £85 the charge is £5.
Postal delivery of tasting tickets and vouchers is also FREE if this option is chosen.
Our standard national delivery charge is £10 and is FREE for all orders over £250. The standard delivery is next day for all orders placed by 12noon and the following day for all orders received later than that.
Arrangements in case you’re out at the time of delivery
Please leave clear instructions in the special instructions section on the checkout page so the wine can be left in a safe place to suit you. As our delivery service requires a signature then if your wine is not signed for it is left at your risk and losses are not replaceable. If instructions are not left a card will be put through your door asking you to contact the carrier to arrange re-delivery or collection within 2 days.
