Intro to Helmsman Semillon Sauvignon Blanc –
Helmsman Semillon Sauvignon is a Semillon-rich wine that has a full fruity flavour displays ripe, slightly waxy characters intermingled with generous flavours of passionfruit.

Helmsman Semillon Sauvignon is a Semillon-rich wine that displays ripe, slightly waxy fruit characters intermingled with generous flavours of passionfruit.
It is made from various parcels across South Eastern Australia, personally selected by Larry Cherubino for their fruit characters and quality of grapes.
2017 did not see the drought conditions that were seen across Australia in recent years so crops were plentiful but the dry conditions at the end of summer lead to good quality fruit too.
The grapes undergo traditional white wine fermentation in stainless steel tanks in order to retain the fresh acidity and fruit characters.

Robert Oatley Vineyards is the latest venture of the Oatley family winemaking dynasty, which was founded by the late industry legend Bob Oatley. His legacy continues in his eldest son Sandy, who worked alongside his father for many years and manages the business today.
Created in 2006, Robert Oatley Vineyards aims to embody the best that Australia can produce where classic grape varieties are matched to the leading wine regions of Australia. Along with grapes from the family properties, some dating back to 1858, the Oatley family draw upon select growers of excellence across a diverse range of climatic regions. A deep understanding of viticulture enables the team to identify the best vineyard sites in Australia.
The talented winemaking team is led by Larry Cherubino – one of Australia’s most awarded winemakers. His chief winemaking roles have been in McLaren Vale and Margaret River. He has also worked in Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Loire, Tuscany, Sicily, New Zealand and the U.S.A.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and not normally on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays though Saturday deliveries are possible on payment of an additional charge.

Delivery Charges
Delivery in St Albans is FREE for orders over £85, for orders less than £85 the charge is £5.
Postal delivery of tasting tickets and vouchers is also FREE if this option is chosen.
Our standard national delivery charge is £10 and is FREE for all orders over £250. The standard delivery is next day for all orders placed by 12noon and the following day for all orders received later than that.
Arrangements in case you’re out at the time of delivery
Please leave clear instructions in the special instructions section on the checkout page so the wine can be left in a safe place to suit you. As our delivery service requires a signature then if your wine is not signed for it is left at your risk and losses are not replaceable. If instructions are not left a card will be put through your door asking you to contact the carrier to arrange re-delivery or collection within 2 days.
