Intro to Poderi Colla Bussia Barolo Dardi le Rose –
Bussia Barolo Dardi le Rose is another fantastic Barolo from Poderi Colla; approachable, meaty and spicy! It has a aromas of dried figs, leather, spice and berries and rich plummy spicy fruit on and good structure and acidity which means that, whilst drinking now, this wine will age and improve for many years.
Full tasting note & wine making –
Bussia Barolo Dardi le Rose has a ripe meaty nose with hints of dried figs, leather, spice and generous ripe berry aromas. Rich plummy fruit, warm and spicy with herbal notes on the palate, good tannic structure and a level of acidity which means that, whilst drinking now, this wine will age and improve for many years. This very special wine is from a single vineyard called Dardi le Rose, on Bussia Hill, known for Barolo. After fermentation the wine matures in casks of Slavonian and French oak, part new, for a period of 24 to 28 months.
The producer –
Founded in 1993 by Tino and Federica Colla, the Colla family have a non-interventionist approach to wine making, enabling each wine a unique expression of site and vintage. Cascine Drago, the site of the winery and museum, has twelve hectares under vine, from which the densely planted Dolcetto and Nebbiolo form the incredibly complex and structured Bricco del Drago. Tenuta Roncaglie, one of the best historical Barbaresco crus, produces a classic and elegant Nebbiolo, and fine Barbera. Tenuta Dardi Le Rose from the Bussia hillside of Barolo’s Monforte dAlba district, is Nebbiolo at its best, rich and complex with fascinating perfumes and textures.
Drink with –
This wine is perfect with a big veal chop or good buttery egg pasta with shaved black truffle. it also works well with particularly rich fish dishes such as roast turbot.

Delivery Charges
Delivery in St Albans is FREE for orders over £85, for orders less than £85 the charge is £5.
Postal delivery of tasting tickets and vouchers is also FREE if this option is chosen.
Our standard national delivery charge is £10 and is FREE for all orders over £250. The standard delivery is next day for all orders placed by 12noon and the following day for all orders received later than that.
Arrangements in case you’re out at the time of delivery
Please leave clear instructions in the special instructions section on the checkout page so the wine can be left in a safe place to suit you. As our delivery service requires a signature then if your wine is not signed for it is left at your risk and losses are not replaceable. If instructions are not left a card will be put through your door asking you to contact the carrier to arrange re-delivery or collection within 2 days.
